How do you promote the Weather Channel’s hyper-local allergy forecast app?

The “Allergy Insights App” draws from weather data, environmental data, and anonymized health data which creates a comprehensive breakdown of allergy contributors rather than relying solely on reductive pollen counts. Moreover, it can predict allergy risk down to the ZIP code.

So around the country, we ran geo-targeted social ads to let people know their allergy risk. Each headline was laced with a little local flavor, while hitting on the connection between weather patterns and allergy risk.

For The Weather Channel landing page, we created a short video taking visitors deeper into the innovation story and show how the app predicts local allergy levels up to 15 days in advance.
